💡Fun Fact: I switched healthcare providers halfway through my pregnancy because I was placed on hold for 45 minutes while attempting to schedule a standard 20-week ultrasound. That was the final straw after dealing with endless scheduling miscommunications, delayed responses, and outdated systems.The scheduling process is a necessary, and often painful step in receiving quality healthcare. For me, it became a defining factor in deciding where I wanted to give birth.Interestingly, Community Health Network discovered the same truth. Through their research on patient experiences, they found that the efficiency of appointment scheduling is actually a significant predictor of post-appointment satisfaction. This revelation inspired their leaders to invest time and resources into revamping their scheduling process.Poor operational processes can truly break a patient's trust in their provider.
