The State Fair of Texas’ 24 days of fun are just around the corner.
Here’s what we know so far about the 2024 State Fair of Texas so that you can begin planning your trip to the annual festivities at Dallas’ Fair Park.

HOURS The official calendar for the fair has yet to be released, but once it is, you’ll be able to access it here. In the past, parking gates and ticket booths open daily at 9 a.m. Typically, exhibit buildings, food concessions and outdoor exhibits open daily at 10 a.m., while remaining closed Sundays through Thursdays at 9 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays at 10 p.m. Museum and midway hours vary.

LOCATION Situated in the 277-acre Fair Park, just off Interstate 30, southeast of downtown Dallas. If you’re using your GPS, put in this address: 3809 Grand Ave., Dallas.

ADMISSION AND DISCOUNTS Currently, you can purchase premium-level individual tickets that allow flexibility to attend the fair any day, starting at $24. More details can also be found and purchases can be made for season passes, which allow unlimited access to the fair, along with group admission (starting at $16 for groups of 25 or more) and corporate programs. Daily admission tickets will go on sale starting Sept. 16.
COUPONS Food, games and rides inside the fairgrounds must be paid for with coupons. You can get them online at bigtex.com/buy-tickets-new (sold in $50 packages to be picked up in person at the fair) or at kiosks inside the fairgrounds. Coupons are $1 each. They do not expire. Midway game cards with funds from 2022 or earlier can be exchanged at either of the fair’s guest relations locations (on the midway near the Top o’ Texas tower and in the Centennial Building) for food and midway coupons.
